Journey Planner

CycleCity Guides has been closely involved in the development of internet journey planning for cyclists.

Our basic route survey information is behind two of the most successful current cycle planners - those of Transport for London and Brighton and Hove.

We have also surveyed 11 priority areas for Transport Direct and Cycling England’s proposed planner, which is expected to be launched later this year (Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Leicester, Bristol, Oxford, Lancaster, Exeter, Derby, Worcester, Loughborough and Peterborough).

All our surveys now conform to the Transport Direct specification for cycle route information, and data collected to this standard will be able to be loaded automatically when the planner is launched.
